The Same Difference….

I’m perfect: imperfect   … same difference. DSC_7346

The journey in life is to live a full and meaningful life, not to be critical of ourselves and get distracted by what we lack, instead focus on who you are.

I’ve learned to strive toward becoming a better me and not idealizing what it means to be perfect. Taking the time out to acknowledge all your strengths and accomplishments, is one way of changing your imperfections to motivation.  Its a simple exercise but i urge you to try it.

All the things you will come up with will surprise you. And even more rewarding will be the feeling you of relinquishment.  You’ll begin to realize that those same erroneous thoughts you have of yourself of being imperfect, has strengthened you throughout time.

For instance, You may think you are not on target for a certain goal in your life (imperfect). But when you think about how driven you have been in accomplishing that steps towards this goal, you see your own courage (I’m Perfect).

With a simple inflection, change in punctuation, or a change to your internal filter, you see things in a different light.

How do you choose to see yourself…..

” Opening to the totality of your being is like saying to yourself, ‘I may not be perfect, but i’m okay with the way I am.’ ” – Richard Carlson, PHD  from Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff… and its all Small Stuff.

Shades of Gray …

Continuing with this Week’s Theme Flexible Work Style
Combining different shades of one particular color can make a statement.
I like the idea of staying within one color code but broadening the spectrum of that color .

fun being a WallFlower

Some things are more fun as a wallflower…

I had a great time catching up with a few friends from college this past weekend. With our busy lives and different worlds, it’s been a little more than 3 years since we last saw each other.   With a massive group text and the universe working on our sides, our schedules aligned, allowing us to meet up for dinner and laughs!

We sat there for hours reminiscing about our crazy days in college, the senseless things we did in our naive youth, and the upcoming things of our lives. It was beautiful to see everyone conversing and cheerful. This was a great idea!

Contributing here and there, I felt a bit like my purse. My presence was like a  beautiful mosaic.  I spent most of the night content with being the Wallflower in this group. I was happy to see that everyone was doing well… and that regardless of the years that pasted, we still valued our friendships.

I Shop a La’mode from Head2Toe

What a  Fun a purchase…
At an Shop a La’mode mocktail party, I added this lovely dress to my collection. Not only was I excited  about my new purchases, but I enjoy the experience of hosting a Pop UP Shop.
At the Pop Up Shop, there was great guest, appetizers, lite cocktails and fashionably fun games.
The convenience of having a small boutique come to your home, JUST for You and a few of your closest friends, was priceless.  We were presented with beautiful, contemporary, and fashionable clothes, shoes and accessories.
